About The Position

Mytra is seeking a Systems Engineering Lead to serve as the technical architect and integrator for our robotic platform. This is a lead role responsible for the system-level technical roadmap, cross-disciplinary alignment, and long-term reliability of the product. You will operate at the intersection of hardware, embedded systems, controls, perception, software, and infrastructure — ensuring that Mytra’s platform evolves as a coherent system, not a collection of subsystems. Additionally, you will make high-impact decisions that balance performance, cost, safety, reliability, and speed — ensuring Mytra robotic platform scales without accumulating hidden system risk.

Requirements

  • BS, MS, or equivalent practical in engineering with 7+ years of experience in designing and building complex mechatronics systems
  • A passion for solving challenging technical problems – Strong engineering intuition and persistence to identify the root cause of a problem, solving problems using first principles
  • Familiar with in all phases of product development lifecycle including gathering requirements, design, implementation, debug, verification, qualification, and transfer to manufacturing
  • Familiar with Product Lifecycle Management and documentation control systems

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end system architecture of Mytra’s robotic platform across mechanical, electrical, embedded, controls, and software domains
  • Define and evolve the technical roadmap to ensure the platform scales in capability, reliability, and manufacturability
  • Establish clear system boundaries, interfaces, and responsibility splits between engineering teams
  • Mediate high-stakes technical decisions to keep the engineering teams aligned and moving at startup speed
  • Distill complex field data, edge-case failures, and prototype learnings into a clear system-level technical narrative
