About The Position

CACI is seeking talented Systems Engineering Interns to join our team for Summer 2026! The internship will begin in May and last 12 weeks. You will be required to work 100% on-site in the Westminster, CO office. Dive into an exciting internship with GROUPER, a dynamic IDIQ (Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity) contract for RDT&E (Research, Development, Test and Evaluation) with the United States Space Force. You'll work in a vibrant and innovative environment, collaborating on cutting-edge technology projects that support critical Space Force missions. This is your chance to contribute to enhancing national security through advanced RF (Radio Frequency) collection capabilities.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering or similar field from an ABET accredited university
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearance
  • Experience working on end-to-end system design; system diagrams, wiring diagrams, power budgets, RF link budgets, and managing BOMs
  • Familiarity with relevant applications: Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio, Systems Tool Kit (STK), SolidWorks, Python/MATLAB, Altium
  • Knowledge and understanding of antenna systems and RF collection and processing
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Experience working on a multi-disciplinary team

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred, but not required
  • Previous internship/co-op or other work experience

Responsibilities

  • Focus on creating systems to support RF (Radio Frequency) collection through the development, test, and deployment of antenna systems and the mission processing to support
  • Opportunity to work on cutting edge technology supporting critical Space Force missions
  • Contribute to enhancing national security through advanced RF collection capabilities
  • Create and maintain detailed system diagrams, wiring diagrams, power budgets, RF link budgets, BOMs, etc. for large aperture antenna systems
  • Develop and present design reviews, ensuring clear communication of technical concepts
  • Assist in preparing presentations to demonstrate project progress and system capabilities
  • Engage in R&D activities to enhance system designs and functionalities
  • Conduct simulations and analyses to verify system performance and quality
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation to support R&D initiatives and program requirements
