About The Position

Leidos is seeking motivated Systems Engineering Interns to join our dynamic team in Alexandria, VA. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in systems engineering processes, data analytics, and requirements tracking while contributing to mission-critical projects. Interns will work closely with experienced engineers and have the chance to learn and grow in a collaborative environment. Using tools like Microsoft Excel, JAMA, and JIRA, interns will support requirements tracking, adjudication, and enhancements, while gaining exposure to consulting work across various defense-related programs and initiatives.

Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
A strong desire to learn and grow in the field of systems engineering.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
US citizenship required.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with programming concepts or systems engineering tools.
Experience with JAMA, JIRA, Cameo, or similar platforms (not required but beneficial).

Responsibilities

Support the implementation of requirements to aid in the creation and development of programs.
Collaborate with team members to assist in requirements tracking and adjudication using systems engineering tools.
Participate in systems engineering processes, including requirements analysis, data analytics, and programming tasks.
Contribute to enhancements in JIRA for improved project management workflows.
Demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to new tools, processes, and challenges.
