About The Position

GDMS has an opening for a Systems Engineering Intern to join our team. The position provides an opportunity to work on projects that support some of our nation's fundamental defense services. GDMS employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. As a Systems Intern Engineer for Maritime and Strategic Systems, you'll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for the full life-cycle Systems Engineering of an integrated cross-discipline (mechanical, electrical, controls, software, etc.). Undersea Systems include system CONOPS, modeling, requirements management, integration & test planning and execution, and much more. The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams on various technical projects associated with our core mission. Requirements

  • Thorough understanding of engineering technology.
  • Enrolled in an accredited degree program in Mechanical or Systems Engineering discipline.
  • Preference for a standing of sophomore or higher.
  • Department of Defense secret security clearance required within a reasonable period of time.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
