About The Position

The Systems Engineering Intern position at RTX is designed for students pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline. This internship is part of the Mission Systems Summer Engineering Project Program, which has been running since 1995. Interns will work on a new internal project that involves information collection, collaboration, organization, and dissemination. They will collaborate with various stakeholders to identify gaps and challenges in existing processes and help develop a scalable solution using a near-real-time crowdsourcing approach. The internship offers opportunities to network with subject matter experts and gain experience across a wide range of topics within the organization.

Requirements

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

• Strong background in Data Science, HMI Design, and software API development.
• Experience with survey creation and Office 365 applications such as Forms, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Baseline knowledge of high-level software APIs, HMI design, and cloud-based collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Understand stakeholders and produce a set of requirements.
• Be innovative and problem solve to create a new collaboration tool set using Microsoft Office 365 or other available Enterprise tools.
• Support the collection, processing, and cloud-based distribution of crowdsourced information.
• Beta test and conduct demonstrations of the project's capabilities to stakeholders and users.
