Within Systems Integration and Test (SI&T), we are seeking a Systems Engineer to support the Transformation & Initiatives (T&I) department. The T&I department provides subject matter support focused on driving affordability, process improvement, and cost-informed decision-making initiatives. As a Systems Engineer you will support Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD) Affordability Engineering team and contribute to Design-to-Unit Production Cost (DTUPC), life-cycle cost analysis, and cost-informed engineering across programs. This is an ONSITE position in based in Tucson, AZ.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, (STEM) or related discipline
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Academic coursework, projects, or internships demonstrating analytical, cost, or systems thinking
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and basic modeling
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Nice To Haves

  • Internship or project experience in engineering, manufacturing, or analysis
  • Exposure to cost analysis or data modeling concepts
  • Familiarity with Excel, MATLAB, Python, or Power BI
  • Interest in affordability and data-driven decision making

Responsibilities

  • As a Systems Engineer you will work under the guidance of experienced engineers to support affordability and systems engineering activities across the product lifecycle.
  • Support data collection, organization, and analysis for cost and affordability studies
  • Assist with DTUPC and life-cycle cost model inputs using Excel-based tools
  • Support preparation of trade study inputs and analysis
  • Assist with supplier cost data and production analysis
  • Prepare charts, tables, and briefing materials
  • Support documentation of processes and tools
  • Participating in training and mentorship activities
