This is an opportunity to join the fast-paced world of engineering next generation combat vehicles for the US Army. Working as a DCS employee co-located in Warren Michigan, you will work alongside the U.S. Army Ground Vehicle Systems Center customer and be rewarded with a technically challenging and diverse career in the areas of manned & unmanned ground vehicles, robotics, vehicle electronics, and ground vehicle simulation.

  • Apply engineering skills in multi-disciplinary research projects for ground combat vehicles.
  • Leverage knowledge and experience in embedded systems development and integration, computer vision, machine learning, autonomous navigation, and other related subjects.
  • Support optionally manned systems development and testing for DoD S&T communities.
  • Manage direct customer contact and relationship management.
  • Lead programs or sub-projects and interact with clients to comprehend and decompose complicated platform requirements into structured and manageable engineering components across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements.
  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher in related engineering or science discipline and 5 years' experience.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance.
  • Experience with vehicle systems and leadership responsibilities in a large project or effort.
  • Ability to work within a team environment to direct and contribute to a Vehicle Network and Data Architecture and Application Integration concepts.
  • Experience with Deterministic and Non-Deterministic Data Bus Architectures.
  • Experience performing Functional Decomposition and Capability Development methods to develop new architectures.
  • Experience with developing and integrating data networks that cross multiple layers of information security (Secure vs Non-Secure Networks).
  • Subsystem and System level integration and testing on vehicle electronics systems.
  • Experience in developing and executing System Level Plans.
  • Excellent technical, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to Travel to various customer and contractor facilities and test centers (10% Travel).
  • Process development and improvement management (CMMI).
  • Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) or Digital Engineering (DE) such as SysML, using tools such as MagicDraw/Cameo.
  • Experience with military systems in a large project or effort.
  • Experience with developing and integrating data networks that cross security domains (Classified vs Unclassified Networks).
