Leidos Intelligence Group is seeking a Systems Engineer to support an enterprise IT program. The Sponsor requires a Systems Engineer to manage beacon and communications servers, applications, and equipment to support mission-critical training. The Sponsor is responsible for providing mission-critical training. This effort focuses on managing the suite of technologies supporting these training courses. The Sponsor requires subject matter expertise managing the hardware, software, networks and systems underpinning the suite's operations, maintenance, development, upgrades, and security. Priorities and tasking will be managed by the GTM with input from the Sponsor. The team of Systems Engineers will ensure the secure design and implementation of program systems, protecting against unauthorized access, usage denial, theft, and insider threats. They will maximize the security of the system by protecting Sponsor data and ensuring security best practices, including those defined by the Sponsor, are followed, and install, patch and update software to monitor and maintain system capabilities, uptime and stability. They will support Sponsor's Assessment & Authorization (A&A) accreditation requirements; manage information system security, policy, accreditation, and regulatory compliance; and play a crucial role in integrating information assurance into Sponsor's acquisition and implementation processes. The team will also support all elements of the Sponsor's systems, comprised of commercial off the shelf (COTS) products and software, along with several customized tools and applications and harmonize all hardware, software, tools, applications, and elements of Sponsor's systems, maximizing interoperability and efficiency. They will provide the Sponsor a modern and stable platform which meets security requirements and enables users to communicate and collaborate securely and work with the GTM to recommend relevant new technologies and present those findings, along with best practices, to the GTM and leadership in an effort to ensure the system remains at the forefront of stability, security, and efficiency. They will support enhancement efforts and develop new capabilities for Sponsor's use to meet mission needs. The Systems Engineer team will manage beacon and communications servers, applications, and equipment, ensuring maximum reliability of tracking solutions for training course attendees. They will create, change, add, remove, and maintain user accounts, via script and coding, of the beacon and communication servers, applications and equipment and configure, set up, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN equipment such as, but not limited to, firewalls, switches, and routers. The team will maintain maximum system uptime and stability. Finally, they will work closely with Sponsor staff and contractor personnel, as well as external vendors and stakeholders, be involved in the development of technical equipment specifications, and work with external vendors to develop vendor quotations. They will strategically support software and hardware engineering and development efforts to maintain current and deliver new capabilities to enhance program priorities and identify issues or dependencies to Sponsor staff and work to resolve them as prioritized by the Government Task Manager with input from Sponsor's leadership.
