About the position
The Systems Engineer position at Insight Global is focused on the research, design, and development of room-sized medical devices. This role serves as a liaison between Operations and Customer Support, ensuring effective design transfer to production and providing technical support to customers, dealers, and field engineers. The engineer will be responsible for systems engineering tasks, prototype development, and testing, while also leading technical investigations to enhance customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Conduct systems engineering design, prototype development, and testing based on requirements.
- Facilitate design transfer to production, service, support, training, and supplier development and management.
- Lead technical investigations to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate closely with sales and customer service departments to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Train other engineers as needed.
Requirements
- 3+ years' experience in systems engineering field
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (engineering, computer science, etc.)
- Familiarity with ISO 13485 or other quality management systems
- Experience working with medical devices
- Experience writing documents, test protocols, and reports
- Familiarity with programming languages (Python preferred)
