About The Position

SAIC is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to support the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management (C3BM) office. In this role, the Systems Engineer will provide critical support for acquisition, development, and programmatic activities within an enterprise-wide program that directly supports warfighter operations. Key responsibilities include providing technical assistance, analyzing reported issues, reviewing technical reports, and delivering engineering recommendations to address deficiencies. The Systems Engineer will also manage platform requirements across the full lifecycle, from requirements development through design, testing, operations, and sustainment. This position is contingent upon contract award, with work performed onsite at the customer's location in [location]. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and hold an active DoD Secret clearance, with eligibility for TS/SCI. The Systems Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate technical efforts, ensuring system designs meet operational needs while achieving lifecycle optimization. Responsibilities include confirming compatibility of functional and physical system interfaces, leading problem-solving initiatives for complex challenges, and developing solutions within cost, schedule, and technical constraints. Additional duties involve preparing and reviewing technical documentation (SERDs, SECLs, and change management materials), supporting programmatic activities such as risk management, configuration management, and trade studies, and engaging with stakeholders from program offices, operational environments, industry partners, and leadership. By adhering to tailored systems engineering processes, the Systems Engineer will contribute to delivering enterprise solutions that align with mission-critical Air Force requirements and operational goals. Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in engineering , with preferred disciplines including Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, or Computer Engineering. The position requires a minimum of 9+ years of acquisition experience in the field of systems engineering, specifically in requirements management and verification. Candidates should demonstrate familiarity with Systems Engineering Processes and the applicable Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) policy and process . Additionally, applicants must have strong communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders at various technical levels and differing perspectives. Requirements
