As a Systems Engineer you will support a Cloud based project of the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG) Radiance applications. You will play a vital role in translating customer requirements into actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and other Agile artifacts. This role requires a strong understanding of Agile development methodologies and the ability to drive the development effort by providing clear and concise guidance to the development team. While this job does not have traditional DODAF documentation requirements, experience with DODAF artifacts is a plus. Focus on delivering results through streamlined processes. Requirements

  • Have a strong understanding of and experience with systems engineering and requirements engineering processes.
  • Designing and develop system level architectures and interfaces and produce associated artifacts.
  • Assess existing systems and digest the information to gain a thorough understanding of the systems to include, but not limited to: requirements, use cases, workflows, architectures, and interfaces.
  • Strong understanding of modern software architectures and development environments, including experience collaborating with teams using C#, Java, Python, .NET/WPF, SQL, Spring Boot, and front-end frameworks (Vue, Angular), with the ability to translate system requirements into technical constraints and interfaces.
  • Experience supporting distributed, containerized systems, with working knowledge of Kubernetes, service integration, data flows, and environment dependencies to ensure system performance, scalability, and reliability across the full application lifecycle.
  • Possess a strong understanding of Agile processes and experience utilizing associated tools, including Jira and Confluence.
  • Engage with senior technical leadership.
  • 5+ years of related experience in, at least, one of the following systems engineering areas: Architecture Development, Requirements Engineering, Operations Concept Development, Functional Analysis, Interface Definition, Verification & Validation of Large Software Systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline
  • Active Top Secret clearance with an ability to obtain SCI access and willingness to obtain CI Polygraph
  • US Citizenship Required

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and exposure of GEOINT technologies
  • Familiarity with SAFe Agile and DevSecOps development methods
  • Experience as a Product Owner or Scrum Master
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary environment
