Requirements

  • US Citizenship due to the sensitivity of customer related information.
  • Eligibility and willingness to obtain/maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • Must have a bachelor's degree in the field of engineering.
  • Must have 3+ years of recent and related work experience.
  • Electrical engineering, electrical power conversion, manufacturing, missiles and/or aerospace related experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and TEAMS.
  • Must be a team player with strong work ethics and be culture oriented.
  • Able to communicate effectively, verbally and in written form, with internal and external customers.
  • Able to follow company programs, processes, procedures, practices, requirements, goals, and objectives.
  • Must be organized with good time management skills.
  • Must be able to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Navy customer interaction experience (surface, submarine, or strategic systems).
  • Subcontracting technical support.
  • Quality nonconforming material disposition support (repair, re-use determinations).
  • Failure Review Board technical support.
  • Root Cause and Corrective Action training and experience.
  • Active or current secret clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Support the U.S. Navy Launcher Electrical Components Products Lead and Certified Principal Engineer developing the Power Conversion (host platform to missile) product design and manufacturing baselines for SSN fielding.
  • Prepare briefing materials for use at internal and external reviews.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of design, analysis, test and as-built artifacts/work products to support product certification/ verification.
  • Review and coordinate subcontract data requirement submissions.
  • Support peer reviews, engineering review boards, product pre-shipment reviews.
  • Participate on Failure Review Board investigation teams and support Material Review Boards for nonconforming material.
  • Participate in relationship building with suppliers (internal or external) and test facilities through consistent positive engagement.
  • Support component level and systems level testing of the power conversion product.
  • Other duties as assigned.
