About The Position

Role overview: The HPE Networking Systems Engineer provides technical leadership and pre-sales support to create and deliver technology solutions that meet customers’ business needs. As a subject-matter expert aligned to specific products or product lines (for example Mobility, Security, Branch), you will design end-to-end solutions, build and maintain customer relationships, and be the deepest source of product- and technology-specific expertise in the sales organization during deal pursuits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, or significant networking technical and pre-sales experience.
  • Minimum 4+ years of technical professional experience in pre-sales or post-sales roles.
  • Deep networking knowledge: routing, switching, Wi‑Fi, security, SASE and network management platforms, on-premises and cloud.
  • Experience with Network Access Security solutions such as HPE Aruba ClearPass, Juniper Access Assurance, Cisco ISE, Forescout, etc.
  • Relevant networking certifications (HPE, Aruba, Juniper, Cisco, or similar).
  • Proven experience creating solution sales offerings that span multiple products and services in competitive markets.
  • Strong customer-facing, communication and consultative skills; able to translate technical capabilities into business value.
  • Team-oriented, hands-on approach with a customer-first mentality.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with customers on technical designs and translate business requirements into tailored solutions.
  • Work with Territory Managers to qualify opportunities, convert leads and deliver comprehensive sales pitches.
  • Support and drive an opportunity pipeline through the sales process to closure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative, multi-product/service solutions.
  • Gather and analyze customer data required to tailor solutions and demonstrate business value.
  • Provide technical sales support and act as the primary technical liaison in deal pursuit situations.
