About The Position

Systems Engineer Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Talent Acquisition and Global Service Engineering Core Team – Integration is currently looking for a Systems Engineering Engineer (Senior-Level) to join their team in Chicago, Illinois, Hazelwood, Missouri, or Oklahoma City, OK. As a subject matter expert in the area of Enterprise Standard Gated Process (ESGP), the candidate will be the single point of contact for Engineering Integration to provide ESGP support to Government Services business. In addition, the candidate selected will drive strategic continuous improvement projects supporting engineering integration for campaign activities in addition to supporting tactical day-to-day integration activities for active campaigns and proposals. This position will require strong interpersonal skills required to build and maintain close relationships with engineering and program leadership to accomplish the statement of work effectively and efficiently. The candidate selected must be agile and organized to be successful in meeting the needs of the engineering leadership. This position reports to the senior manager of Engineering Campaign Integration and Execution Enablement in the BGS Engineering Core Team.

Requirements

  • Technical bachelor’s degree or Equivalent Experience
  • Proficiency and comprehensive knowledge in Enterprise Standard Gated Process (BDS and BGS)
  • 5+ years of experience in communication and presenting strategies at executive levels
  • 5+ years of experience in applying continuous improvement tools and techniques
  • 3+ years of experience in Enterprise Standard Gated Process (ESGP) (Enterprise and BGS)
  • Experience in a role requiring strategic planning (project/program management)
  • Able to travel 10% of the time
  • This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
  • This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

  • Systems Engineering and/or SEIT Experience
  • Boeing Problem Solving Model (BPSM) experience
  • Experience with proposal integration

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive knowledge of the Enterprise Standard Gated Process (ESGP) to BGS Engineering including: Gate 1-4 Capture / Campaigns Gate 5-12 Program Execution Support Product Support and Services with Engineering Integration ESGP Tailoring by Program providing strategic first pass quality ahead of Program need for Product Support.
  • For Engineering Campaign Integration efforts aligned to assigned platforms, the selected individual will: Integrate engineering content of all campaign activity across engineering teams Lead Impact Matrix Process to ensure that impacted teams are integrated when and where needed as defined by the Statement of Work (SOW) Provide functional integration of engineering content (contracts, estimating, Global Sales & Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Global Technical Operations, etc.) Manage campaign look-ahead activity to ensure that engineering is proactively engaged as required Communicate Risks, Issues, & Opportunities (RIOs) and status to leadership Attend reviews, gates and programs meetings to adequately integrate engineering content and teammates Review engineering: basis of estimate, proposal content, and ESGP deliverables for accuracy and efficacy Communicate findings to leadership team and manage actions to completion Facilitate Engineering Start Right of new programs Provide key integration partnership with Program Chief Engineers and Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) and BDS counterparts Authorized as delegate for Gate Reviews
  • The selected candidate should have experience in multiple elements of the 12 Elements of Product Support Product Support Management Design Interface Sustaining Engineering Supply Support Maintenance Planning & Management Packaging, Handling, Storage & Transportation Technical Data Support Equipment Training & Training Support Manpower & Personnel Facilities & Infrastructure Computer Resources
