About The Position

The Systems Integration Engineering team is seeking a motivated BSEE or BSEET to join our Engineering group. The Systems Engineer will develop and maintain working knowledge of solutions and technical expertise in electrical system of CNC machine tool. Under the supervision of the Engineering Manager and Senior Engineers, the individual will apply the principles of electrical engineering in (1) developing project deliverables within a project team; (2) providing technical supports to manufacture, field service and application team both on-site and at remote locations; (3) following and improving the engineering processes (4) generating and maintaining engineering drawings and documents. In carrying out the required job duties, the individual will deploy his or her knowledge of electric engineering including control system design, power component calculation and sizing, servo/motor selection and tuning, and PLC programming. Training and mentor will be provided.

Requirements

• BS Degree - Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, Automation Engineering, or Motion Control Engineering
• 2+ years experience in a design, build, test engineering role

Nice To Haves

• Experience with service drivers/motors, motion control, AC & DC electro-mechanical design a plus

Responsibilities

• Specify electrical components such as servo drives, motors, and contactors to meet mechanical specifications and performance requirements
• Perform servo tuning and motion control algorithm optimization
• Generate AutoCAD electrical schematics and electrical cabinet layouts
• Write ladder logic for proprietary and industry controls
• Generate engineering procedures and documentation for our servo systems
• Perform startup/troubleshooting duties in development and production environments
• Requires strong time management skills and ability to work on an interdisciplinary basis to meet project deadlines
