About The Position

Dark Wolf Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Systems Engineer with experience in video production infrastructure, software packages, and networks. This role is located in Chantilly, VA. Responsibilities: Developing and implementing the overarching technology strategy for business systems which builds, deploys, and maintains corporate business applications supporting financial, security, medical, human resources, facilities, logistics, travel, and acquisitions. Supporting corporate business applications, while identifying and promoting information technology and program management best practices. Promoting integration by providing tools to streamline corporate business processes and systems, support data-driven decisions by providing access to usable and reliable information, quickly and easily. Improving accessibility of its internal IT systems. Accessibility in this context includes Section 508 requirements and other reasonable accommodations in application design to make system more useable for all users. Working closely with video production specialists, multimedia design and graphics teams and design, configure and maintain network infrastructure in support of the video production unit serving multiple sister units across the organization. Assessing and validating video production equipment requirements within the unit and across the organization and assess and validate video and multimedia software package requirements within the unit and across the organization for inclusion into the video network. Assisting in cooperatively validating video production network equipment with organization’s security elements and research and prepare technical proposals for presentation to the video production management team and security elements for approval prior to the addition of new technologies to the network. Providing Operations and Maintenance (O&M), upgrades, and content management support for the organization’s video network; utilize network analysis tools to identify performance problems in the network; troubleshoot to restore network to optimal performance levels; and assist and prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Requirements

  • Extensive expertise in video network infrastructure, broadcast production workflows, and storage configurations within secure environments.
  • Proficient in a wide range of video production software, including Adobe Creative Suite, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, 3D modeling and animation software, and associated plugins and extensions.
  • Highly experienced with broadcast video hardware and studio equipment, including cameras, lighting kits, and audio recording/processing devices.
  • In-depth knowledge of video network signal and footage processing best practices, from camera to mass storage, ensuring security compliance.
  • Experienced in researching, procuring, and supporting the acquisition of broadcast video production equipment and software within secure environments, translating organizational security restrictions into specific procurement requirements.
  • Proven ability to design, configure, maintain, and upgrade video production networks, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Skilled in authoring robust security plans for video production networks and studios, securing necessary approvals for hardware and software procurements and installations.
  • Adept at installing required video studio equipment, including lighting systems, cameras, teleprompters, and audio equipment, while ensuring compatibility with secure video networks through the use of adapters and peripherals.
  • US Citizen with an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance with polygraph.
