Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status)
  • Compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's or master's degree or higher in Software Engineering, Control Systems, Software Development or Computer Science (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Experience in one or more of the following: chemical operations, extrusion, coating and converting
  • Passion for SMART Manufacturing and Data Automation
  • Workflow Software integration, Power BI reporting, and understanding of PLC hardware architecture and Ladder Logic
  • Database skills with SQL scripts and stored procedures
  • Self-starter, results driven behaviors with strong oral and written communications skills

Responsibilities

  • Developing integrations for software, data, and analytics systems in a team environment
  • Implement 3M software solutions and data collection historians on manufacturing lines
  • Support computer network concepts/troubleshooting
  • Interact with plant engineering, process engineers and controls engineer and technologists to assess the need for smart manufacturing solutions
  • Design, Implement, and Integrate PLC upgrades on manufacturing lines
  • Proactively communicates project direction and status to appropriate personnel
  • Development and implementation of improvements related to safety, quality, service, and cost
  • Driving cost and productivity improvements by leading Continuous Improvement projects with a variety of toolsets, including standard work development, tier reviews and kaizens
