About The Position

This position is CONTINGENT upon contract award Nightwing is seeking a dedicated and experienced Systems Engineer – Full Performance to design, implement, and maintain complex systems that meet organizational and customer requirements. This role involves analyzing system specifications, ensuring seamless integration, and supporting the full lifecycle of systems engineering activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, including dynamics, thermodynamics, and material science.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo for system design and modeling.
  • Ability to conduct structural analysis and validate designs using simulation tools.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as machining, casting, and additive manufacturing.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills for system optimization and troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication skills for technical reporting and teamwork
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field with a minimum of 4 years of experience, or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as ASME or ISO for design and compliance.
  • Familiarity with lifecycle engineering, including reliability and maintainability analysis.
  • Basic programming skills (e.g., MATLAB, Python) for data analysis and system modeling.
  • Experience in a multidisciplinary team environment, integrating mechanical, electrical, and software systems.
