Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer / Senior Systems Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. This role will be responsible for maintaining highly available systems, optimizing performance, strengthening security posture, and driving automation and modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate brings deep experience across virtualization, storage, identity, and cloud platforms, along with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in systems engineering, infrastructure, or related roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Virtualization platforms: VMware and/or Hyper-V
  • Cloud platforms: Microsoft Azure
  • Identity platforms: Active Directory and Entra ID
  • Backup solutions: Veeam
  • Storage systems: SAN technologies (Nimble, Dell, or similar)
  • Experience managing Windows and Linux server environments.
  • Proficiency with endpoint management tools (Intune, Endpoint Central, or similar).
  • Experience with network/system monitoring tools.
  • Working knowledge of PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • Experience supporting server hardware and datacenter infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with PKI concepts and certificate management.
  • Proven experience in vendor management and coordination.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing or supporting hybrid cloud environments.
  • Industry certifications such as:
  • Microsoft Azure (AZ-104, AZ-305)
  • VMware (VCP)
  • Experience with security frameworks or compliance environments.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code or advanced automation practices.
  • Experience in highly available / mission-critical environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure systems across on-premises and cloud platforms (Azure).
  • Administer and optimize virtualization platforms including VMware and Hyper-V.
  • Manage and maintain Active Directory and Entra ID (Azure AD), including Group Policy, identity lifecycle, and access controls.
  • Support and administer server hardware and operating systems (Windows & Linux).
  • Oversee and maintain storage infrastructure, including SAN technologies (e.g., Nimble, Dell).
  • Manage and monitor backup and disaster recovery solutions (Veeam), ensuring data integrity and recoverability.
  • Implement and maintain endpoint management solutions, including Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Central.
  • Configure and maintain network and system monitoring tools, ensuring proactive alerting and system visibility.
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate operational tasks and improve efficiency.
  • Support and maintain PKI infrastructure, including certificate lifecycle management and security compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors to support infrastructure projects and operational needs.
  • Perform system patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management across infrastructure components.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues; perform root cause analysis.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in infrastructure planning, capacity management, and technology roadmap initiatives.
