You will work closely with the IT Director and Principal of Information Technology to plan, design, and implement scalable, secure, and resilient systems that meet Ware Malcomb's dynamic business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems engineering or cloud infrastructure roles
  • Scripting skills (PowerShell, Python)
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to infrastructure challenges
  • Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills
  • Administering Windows Server (2019 or later) and Active Directory
  • Supporting Windows 11 and Linux environments
  • Managing multi-site networking (Meraki or similar)
  • Administering Microsoft Exchange and Office 365
  • Deploying and managing workloads in Azure and AWS
  • Virtualization platforms (8 or later versions of vSphere or Hyper-V)
  • Maintaining SQL Server installations
  • Microsoft Certifications in Azure Administration Associate, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, and Identify and Access Administrator Associate

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain Windows Server infrastructure, SAN, and associated applications
  • Design, deploy, and support hybrid cloud environments using Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Provide advanced technical support for software, hardware, and network issues
  • Collaborate with IT Support Specialists to resolve infrastructure-related requests within established SLAs
  • Maintain a highly available and secure infrastructure across on-premises and cloud platforms
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining a comprehensive IT security and compliance plan
  • Document workflows, procedures, and system configurations thoroughly
  • Monitor system health using tools such as Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch, and other dashboards
  • Partner with the IT security team to proactively secure infrastructure and respond to incidents
  • Remediate issues proactively and schedule regular updates and patches
  • Identify and address gaps in infrastructure processes and configurations
  • Maintain accurate inventory of infrastructure assets and cloud resources
  • Stay current with evolving technologies and recommend improvements
  • Perform after-hours work and business travel as needed
  • Complete assignments from the Director of IT, Principal of IT, or firm leadership
