Our client, a leading federal defense contractor has multiple openings for Systems Engineers to work onsite at their facility in Canonsburg, PA. You will participate as a member of a cross functional team to execute engineering tasking associated with Torpedo Guidance and control systems. General SE activities: - Dry Run Demonstrations and Inspections - Document Reviews and Updates - Test and Debug Activities - Report Writing and Adjudications - Code Development and Review - Setup and Configuration - Analysis and Verification - Procedure Updates and Reviews - Simulation and Modeling (mechanical, electrical, systems) - Hardware and Firmware Support

  • Must be US Citizen due to government requirement
  • Must be able and willing to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance (active Secret is preferred at time of hire)
  • Requires a Bachelor-s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience
  • Have a good understanding of hardware, software, measurement and test
  • Systems Engineering: Proficiency in systems engineering, decomposing requirements into architecture, internal and external interfaces, design behavior with emphasis on:
  • Software/Systems engineering: Experience decomposing the high-level space-ground systems design into ground software/systems design.
  • Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE): Experience with MBSE methodologies and tools such as, CAMEO or MagicDraw.
  • Programming and Tools Skills: Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, and MATLAB, including for software developer coordination, system analysis, prototype algorithm development, or modeling.
  • Must be comfortable working in large documentation, identifying gaps in processes and able to utilize modern tools where possible to increase efficiency in producing customer docs from modular systems models.
  • Must be able to logically decompose complex things.
