About The Position

We’re seeking a Mid-Level Systems Engineer to support the design, integration, and sustainment of complex geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) systems across the National System of Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System of Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and Federal Agencies. In this role, you’ll apply a multi-disciplinary systems engineering approach to ensure GEOINT capabilities are reliable, resilient, and delivered accurately and on time. You’ll work closely with government stakeholders to translate mission needs into scalable, technically sound solutions that support critical national security objectives. What You’ll Do Apply systems engineering principles across requirements engineering, solutions engineering, scheduling, reliability, resiliency, services development, integration, test and evaluation, maintainability, and analysis within NSG, ASG, and Federal environments. Plan and analyze user requirements, including requirements traceability, architecture traceability, procedures, and problem statements to automate or enhance existing systems. Review and assess cloud service capabilities, workflows, and scheduling limitations across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments. Develop solution designs based on requirements analysis and emerging technologies. Support the Government in capturing and translating mission and customer needs into system and capability requirements and engineering solutions. Analyze and allocate requirements to system architecture components and executing programs. Perform and support systems integration activities. Assist with Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Courses of Action (CoAs), trade studies, and engineering assessments. Support strategic technical planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management, and interface design initiatives. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Systems Engineering or a related technical or scientific field such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM discipline; or equivalent experience (4 additional years with no degree, or 2 additional years with a non-STEM degree).
  • 6+ years of experience in government or industry supporting relevant areas such as the DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process, or systems engineering of large, complex System-of-Systems or Service-Oriented Architecture environments across cloud, on-premises, or hybrid infrastructures.
  • 6+ years of hands-on systems engineering experience in government or industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current NSG/ASG and NRO enterprises.
  • Prior NGA and/or NSG/ASG program or project experience.
  • Prior IC or DoD program or project experience.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance or the ability to obtain SCI and successfully pass a polygraph.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes, tools, and languages.
  • Working knowledge of software development frameworks.
  • INCOSE Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP) certification.
  • Documented professional experience in the geospatial intelligence domain.
  • Membership or active participation in professional organizations such as: ACSM ASCE ASPRS OGC SAREM USGIF
  • Working knowledge of photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, information sciences, geographic information systems (GIS), geomatics, or related disciplines.
