About The Position

The Technical Integration section is looking for a Systems Engineer to develop/review documents and guidance for the Air Force's Integrated Defensive Cyberspace System (IDCS) Program. The Systems Engineer would work under the Senior Systems Engineer to create design/integration Courses of Action (COAs), System Specifications, Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Risk Management, and System Engineering Plans (SEPs) documents for various projects. Responsibilities: This role is responsible for project level technical integration baseline and assessments associated with documentation, system hardware-software-network design, development and integration, verification, and validation. Evaluates alternatives including cost and risk, supportability and analyses for total systems. Duties include researching and documenting systems requirements analysis, functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition, technical management, integration, and quality assurance. Works with a team to achieve objectives set forth by the PMO with significant impact on operational process or project outcomes.

Requirements

  • Proven engineering expertise to create, review and build requirements diagrams, models and content
  • Be able to implement requirements capture and process in tool suites and manage the buildout and use
  • Create and document complete system/functional baseline, allocated baseline, and aligned with product baselines across existing systems and IDCS
  • Prototype and demo the capability and technology explorations - understand the system features and capability matches.
  • Have a Technical/Engineer background and understand the interoperability between network systems
  • Working experience with Jira/Confluence and experience tracking projects through a complete process
  • Bachelor's degree and 4-6 years of prior relevant experience or a Master's degree with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • US Citizen with at least a DoD Secret clearance and the ability to maintain that clearance

Nice To Haves

  • US Citizen with a Top Secret clearance.
  • Working experience with routing and switching network with current/past industry certification, digital engineering work with Cameo
  • Professional cybersecurity certification such as Security+, or similar.
  • Full lifecycle automation experience (design, development, test, deployment), including deployment to a production environment.
  • Experience working in Air Force / DoD environment
