About The Position

Strategic Insight, Ltd. is seeking a Systems Engineer to provide systems engineering analysis and technical support for Department of Defense (DoD) programs. This position supports the Department of the Navy (DoN), working closely with senior leadership and stakeholders to support naval acquisition efforts and systems engineering activities across the program lifecycle. Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of general experience in systems engineering (SE) analysis, including at least 5 years supporting a DoD task or project.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in an engineering specialty area; experience with naval acquisition and naval systems engineering is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Department of the Navy correspondence and tracking systems, such as ETMS2.
  • Working knowledge of the PPBE process.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited college or university
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting a DoD Echelon I organization is highly recommended.
  • Experience working directly with SES, Flag Officers (FO), and General Officers (GO) is highly recommended.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance, advice, and administrative services for the efficient and effective management of day-to-day operations of SE activities, projects, and initiatives
  • Provide program management, project monitoring and reporting, management of SE workshops, roadshows and training efforts. Establish administrative management processes and repositories for: SE related official hard copy and online products; Objective Qualified Evidence (OQE) of official communications; external correspondence; directives, letters, and communications from DON and DoD; and other agencies
  • Assist DASN (RDT&E) in the phased transition towards the DON digital transformation of work responsibility for SE streamlining initiatives by transferring relevant technical documents and working files following disposition decisions
  • Provide various systems engineering support to SE activities and projects
  • Support draft, review, and finalization processes for SE communication initiatives
  • Support Capabilities Requirement and Risk Analysis (CRRA) efforts
  • Provide organized, analytical assessments or evaluations in support of SE decision-making, management, or administration for government approval
  • Provide administrative and technical editing support for SE plans and artifacts for DASN (RDT&E) review
  • Perform duties as assigned
