About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is hiring a Systems Engineer (Associate level / Experienced level) at Layton (Hill AFB), Utah. Boeing has an established legacy of national defense through our Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) programs . Our involvement is ongoing today and will continue into the distant future. Position Responsibilities: Analyze problems (troubleshooting, fault isolation, repair, modification, or redesign) of assigned end items to support the design, development and modification of company products using knowledge of engineering disciplines (ME, EE, etc.). specifically related to ICBM ground equipment Perform or review engineering analysis (e.g., mechanical, electrical, avionics, design, circuit, systems, stress, structural, durability) Derive and allocate requirements (e.g., system, sub-system, software) and show traceability throughout the product lifecycle using both historical data and modern tools Determine functional decomposition based on current design solutions Develop trade studies and trade spaces for technical solutions with quantifiable scoring criteria and justifications Develop Interface control drawings and electrical interface diagrams based on current hardware and incomplete documentation Develop test procedures, plans, and artifacts Develop contract deliverables in accordance with statement of work Provide peer review and expertise on technical deliverables This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Requirements

  • This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required) . (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
  • Associate, Level 2: typically, 2 or more years' related work experience in an engineering role or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications
  • Experienced, Level 3: typically, 5 or more years' related work experience an engineering role or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications
  • This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous ICBM Experience in ground systems, Launch support, or encryption,
  • Previous command and control experience
  • Software systems and software/hardware integration
  • Previous CCOS and WMAP experience
  • MBSE certifications or MBSE practical experience
  • Systems engineering certifications (INCOSE ASE, CSE etc..)
