About The Position

PROGRAM OVERVIEW Peraton provides a secure, worldwide, high-performance communications network comprised of real-time interactive applications operating over a dedicated IP backbone with secure services for complex national and worldwide executive-level communications. Peraton provides the O&M of the network infrastructure and its components, integration for development of hardware and software solutions, and task support for the delivery of system, network, software, and security solutions. ABOUT THE ROLE Peraton has served as the prime contractor for this program since its inception in the 1980's. We provide high-level government leaders with reliable secure voice, video, and fax communications anytime, anywhere, in any environment in support of day-to-day operations. We support a secure, worldwide, high-performance communications network comprised of real-time interactive applications allowing complex national and worldwide communications. Peraton provides the O&M of the network infrastructure and its components. We provide integration for development of hardware and software solutions, and engineering support for the delivery of system, network, software, and security solutions. Peraton is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team in Washington, DC. You will provide technical and management leadership supporting all functions across the program. The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for, but not limited to: Management of operations, ensuring alignment with event, incident, problem, and change management frameworks. Oversight incident detection, escalation, and resolution processes, ensuring rapid response and minimal service disruption. Managing and optimizing operational work-flows, including event, incident, problem, and change management, aligned with ITIL best practices. Providing workforce education and mentoring to maintain the IT operations, IT System Administration, and Network Engineering culture across programs. Serving as the Designated Representative for the Program and Deputy Program Manager to lead IT Incident resolution and representative in their absence. Developing and maintaining network and system dashboards for real-time operational and cyber metrics to support enterprise decision-making. Providing mentoring and continuous workforce development across IT operations disciplines. Serving as the Program Manager’s delegate for IT incident response and coordination with government stakeholders.

Requirements

  • An active/current TS/SCI Security Clearance is required.
  • BS/BA degree in an IT related field (or similar technical field) and eight (8+) years relevant experience; 12 years of relevant experience in the above-cited duties may be substituted in lieu of a completed higher education degree.
  • 8+ years of experience managing complex IT Infrastructure environments.
  • 8+ years of experience in network operations and systems management platforms and solutions.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale enterprise IT teams supporting federal programs.
  • Experience interfacing with senior government leadership and stakeholders.
  • A current/valid IAT LVL II Certification.
