In this role you will support the National Reconnaissance Office’s (NRO) Ground Enterprise Directorate (GED) Integrated System Program Office (ISPO) delivering Overhead Persistent Infra-Red (OPIR) mission management, tasking, collection, processing & dissemination, as well as integration with DoD Space Based Infra-Red System (SBIRS). The best candidate will provide commensurate level systems engineering supporting technical efforts across multiple domains and ensuring alignment with NRO GED objectives. A background that includes understanding of OPIR system ground architectures as well as exposure to OPIR phenomenology, characteristics, designs, commanding systems, and data processing algorithms. This position will be located on Government site in either the Northern Virginia area or Colorado Springs, CO.

Requirements

  • 5+ years with Masters in Engineering discipline, or 10+ years with Bachelors in Engineering discipline
  • Possess Domain Expertise: GEOINT, SIGNINT, or Intelligence Integration
  • TS/SCI Clearance

Responsibilities

  • Support trade study & analysis for ground architecture & CONOP development and data flow descriptions
  • Support the development, maintenance, management, and implementation of ground architectures utilizing cloud environments
  • Support change/configuration management through the Request for Change (RFC) process; Familiar with Engineering Review Board (ERB) and Configuration Control Boards processes
  • Support development and use of Agile schedule management methodologies including the reliance on “roadmaps” to communicate the planning of high-level major mission capabilities
