As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud and on-premises infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our systems are secure, scalable, and reliable. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud platforms, server management, network administration, and automation practices.

  • Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure in AWS and Azure environments.
  • Administer and maintain Windows and Linux servers.
  • Manage Windows SQL Server databases and ensure their high availability and performance.
  • Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC).
  • Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to enhance system efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Ensure robust network security, including firewalls, VPNs, and other security appliances.
  • Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to optimize system performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with development, security, and support teams to ensure seamless integration and operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system, network, and infrastructure issues.
  • Maintain documentation for system architecture, processes, and procedures.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in managing AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of both Windows and Linux server environments.
  • Experience with Database applications (Postgres, NySQL, and MS SQL Server administration).
  • In-depth knowledge of network administration, including experience with firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, and network security practices.
  • Proficient in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or other languages.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools like CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience in disaster recovery planning and implementation.
