About The Position

As a Systems Engineer, work with the cross functional Interoperability Testing and Systems Engineering (ITSE) team responsible for developing systems and cryptographic specifications and testing mission critical Department of Defense Cybersecurity devices. Responsibilities will include designing security architectures and protocols, developing key management strategies, working with network equipment in the Interoperability Test Bed (ITB), and testing voice, data. and conferencing security devices. You'll be working at the cutting edge of Cybersecurity. Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field.
  • 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
  • Agile experience preferred.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Strong expertise in network protocols, cryptographic algorithms, and secure voice/data communication technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with VoIP networks, IP security, and IP routing.
  • Skilled in analyzing requirements and creating detailed test plans and procedures.
  • CISSP certification (or similar professional credentials).

Nice To Haves

  • CCNA certification and familiarity with network equipment like Avaya switches, Cisco routers, and SIP Call Managers.
  • Experience with "black box" testing of encryption and secure communication devices.
  • Proven ability to write technical documents, present complex concepts, and lead projects with minimal guidance.
  • A passion for tackling diverse challenges in system security and delivering impactful solutions.
