About The Position

Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking various levels of experience or related experience in Systems Engineering in Alamogordo, NM . Various experience levels desired in complex engineering and programmatic execution to include but not limited to dynamic mechanical and structural system design, rocket systems, high speed sled track systems, energetics, dynamic systems, hypervelocity, testing and aerodynamics. Oversees the design, development, implementation and analysis of highly complex technical products. Has very strong analytical and reasoning skills Ability to review, assess and synthesize complex data sets. Supports multiple complex engineering tasks simultaneously. Leads or is a member of large, distributed teams. Conducts advanced research and applies it to assigned projects. Understands and applies advanced system design principles. Ability to interact professionally in a badge-less customer environment. Has excellent presentation skills. Possesses the ability to prepare and deliver briefings and supporting data to immediate customer and senior leaders.

Requirements

• Must have a BS in STEM (or comparable degree/experience) and relevant related experience.
• Must have an Active DoW Secret clearance and the ability to maintain a clearance.
• If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Python, MATLAB, Microsoft Project and MS Office Suite, preferred.
• Experience with solid rocket motor functionality, application, analysis and /or design experience (Super Road Runner, Terrier, Honest John), preferred.
• Ability to read/interpret and possibly crate advanced engineering drawings and schematics.
• Systems Engineering Experience.
• Willingness to think outside the box on new propulsion system prototypes, preferred.
• Experience working on multi-faceted complex prototype systems, preferred.
• Ability to create analytic tools to aid in development of technical recommendations to the customer, preferred.
• High Speed Test Track Experience
• Prefer an Active DoD Top Secret Clearance or Interim Top-Secret clearance.
