About The Position

Peraton requires Systems Enginee rs to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3.  Positions are located at the SOCOM Headquarters at MacDill, AFB FL, and at the TSOC and Component locations in the United States and abroad.  This position is located at MacDill AFB. The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Mo ve, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365. We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer with Service Now experience to enhance and evolve our ServiceNow platform at USSOCOM. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of ServiceNow capabilities and will be responsible for optimizing system performance, implementing best practices. This role is instrumental in delivering robust ServiceNow capabilities across multiple functional areas, especially within the context of a fast-paced, highly reliable Special Operations Forces environment.

Requirements

  • Min 9 years with HS Diploma, 7 years with AS/AA degree, 5 years with BS/BA, or 3 years with MS/MA
  • DoD 8570 IAT II Certification
  • DoD TS/SCI clearance

Nice To Haves

  • 5–10 years of ServiceNow development and administration experience.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (preferred).
  • Experience with ServiceNow On-Prem instance implementation, management, and troubleshooting
  • Experience in Linux/Red Hat.
  • Knowledge of database management and SQL (MariaDB)
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL processes.
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting languages (JavaScript, GlideScript) and web technologies (HTML, CSS, AJAX)
  • Experience with ServiceNow Discovery and CMDB architecture.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Agile development and change management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable solutions in ServiceNow aligned with ITIL-based processes.
  • Build/maintain modules and experience with: Integration of ITSM, ITOM, HAM/SAM Integration Hub User Access Management and Access Review Workflows Experience with patching, upgrading/installing plugins Interconnectivity of systems and databases
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective ServiceNow solutions.
  • Implement automated workflows, business rules, and scripts.
  • Maintain ServiceNow integrations and ensure platform stability and data integrity.
  • Support platform upgrades and release readiness activities.
  • Ensure alignment with security, compliance, and audit requirements.
  • Produce user documentation and training materials as needed.
  • Stay current with ServiceNow innovations and drive adoption of best practices.
