Join us and make a difference in National Security! Job Summary: Leidos is seeking a System Engineer with strong experience in system administration, automation, and security compliance. The ideal candidate will maintain system integrity, performance, and security across critical client/server environments while working closely with a small, mission‑focused team that regularly engages with users and customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering discipline and 6+ years of experience, or a High School Diploma/GED with 10+ years of system engineering experience
  • Strong background in Systems Engineering and System Administration
  • Deep understanding of security compliance frameworks and best practices
  • Hands‑on experience with enterprise networking hardware and configurations
  • Proficiency with Windows and Linux system administration
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes or containerized environments
  • Experience with directory services, authentication technologies, and network services
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and optimize system integrity, performance, and security across Windows and Linux environments
  • Implement and support automation solutions for system administration tasks
  • Ensure compliance with security standards, protocols, and patching requirements
  • Manage and troubleshoot networking devices (Cisco, Juniper, Arista)
  • Support identity and access services including Active Directory, LDAP, Centrify, Group Policy, and related network services
  • Contribute to containerization and orchestration efforts (Kubernetes)
  • Communicate system issues, risks, and escalations clearly to leadership and stakeholders
