Job Title : Systems Engineer Reporting To: Head, Test Equipment Sect. Work Schedule: Hybrid – Torrance, CA Our team in Military Aircraft Group is looking for a Systems Engineer to support the design and development of advanced test systems. You will play a key role in ensuring the effectiveness of test system architecture, interfaces, and control algorithms to meet customer requirements. You will report to the Test Systems Section Head and will have a 9/80 schedule with hybrid work option in Torrance, CA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Systems Engineering
  • 5 or more years of progressive Test Systems Engineering experience
  • Proficiency in systems engineering disciplines, including requirements management, verification and validation methodologies, control system design, and system integration and testing.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strategic working relationships, effectively plan and organize tasks, and maintain a strong customer focus.

Nice To Haves

  • Master of Science Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Systems Engineering
  • Experience in the aerospace or other highly regulated industry

Responsibilities

  • Define and manage test system requirements, architectures, and interface documentation.
  • Develop and apply physics-based models to support system design and integration.
  • Lead system-level trade studies, simulations, and architecture definition.
  • Support verification and validation planning, including integration and anomaly resolution.
  • Translate customer needs into hardware/software specifications and ensure traceability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align subsystem requirements and design efforts.
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and proposal content.
  • Represent the organization with professionalism and technical expertise.
