About The Position

The Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Systems Engineering & Integration Core is seeking Mid-Level, Senior or Principal Systems Engineers to join our team in Everett, Washington. This role involves the development and implementation of Systems Engineering standards across BCA, ensuring consistent application and continuous improvement. Candidates with proficiency in one or more Systems Engineering domains such as Operational, Functional, Logical, Interface, and Requirements definition (OFLIR) and hands-on experience applying these standards on airplane programs or other complex products are highly desired.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proven experience in Systems Engineering.
  • Proficiency in one or more Systems Engineering domains.
  • Strong knowledge of Systems Engineering lifecycle processes, standards, and tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a complex, multidisciplinary environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven experience in Systems Engineering within aerospace, preferably with commercial airplane programs.
  • Advanced degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical field.
  • 14 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Familiarity with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and other Systems Engineering tools.
  • Eagerness to educate and share with others the application of disciplined Systems Engineering.
  • Capable to effectively team with individuals located across the globe.

Responsibilities

  • Refine and develop Systems Engineering processes guidance and engineering tool requirements to support sustaining and development programs as well as new product development initiatives.
  • Lead, coach, and advise Systems Engineering core teams and external stakeholders (program and functional teams) on the effective incorporation and adherence to Systems Engineering standards and best practices.
  • Apply an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify lifecycle-balanced system-of-systems and system solutions.
  • Perform comprehensive analyses to optimize total system-of-systems and/or system architecture.
  • Develop and manage requirements management processes, tools, risk and issue tracking, opportunity management, and technology readiness assessments to support program objectives.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve complex cross-functional, cross-domain, and cross-program technical issues to ensure seamless system integration and delivery.
