Are you ready to tackle complex technical challenges that directly support national security and intelligence missions? We're looking for a Mid-Level Systems Engineer to play a key role in delivering mission-critical GEOINT capabilities across the National System for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG), Allied System for Geospatial-Intelligence (ASG), and other partner Federal Agencies. In this role, you'll support the entire systems engineering lifecycle-from requirements analysis and architecture design to testing, integration, and sustainment. Your contributions will ensure GEOINT systems are reliable, resilient, and aligned with evolving mission needs.

  • Perform systems engineering tasks across all phases: Requirements analysis, Solution and service architecture, Scheduling and integration, Reliability and resiliency engineering, Testing, evaluation, and maintainability
  • Analyze and trace user and system requirements to architecture and design components
  • Review and recommend improvements to cloud services, workflows, and scheduling systems
  • Design technical solutions based on emerging technologies and mission needs
  • Mentor junior engineers and support skills development in systems engineering
  • Translate mission and customer needs into capability requirements and solution designs
  • Support system integration efforts and ensure seamless implementation
  • Contribute to: Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Courses of Action (CoAs), Trade studies and engineering assessments
  • Assist with strategic planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management, and interface design
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Systems Engineering or a related technical/scientific field such as Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems, or six (6) years of relevant Systems Engineering experience in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience in government or industry in one or more of the following areas: DoD or Intelligence Community (IC) Acquisition Processes, Requirements development processes, PPBES (Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution System), Systems engineering of large, complex System of Systems (SoS) or Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)/Cloud environments
  • Active TS/SCI clearance or the ability to obtain SCI eligibility and pass a polygraph
  • Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), including related tools, languages, and methodologies
  • Familiarity with Software Development Frameworks
  • Working knowledge of one or more of the following domains: Photogrammetry, Remote sensing, Image science, Information sciences, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geomatics, Related geospatial fields
  • INCOSE Associate Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP) certification
  • Documented work experience in the Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) field
  • Membership or active participation in professional organizations such as: ACSM (American Congress on Surveying and Mapping), ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineers), ASPRS (American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing), OGC (Open Geospatial Consortium), SAREM (Society for American Remote Earth Monitoring), USGIF (United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the current NSG (National System for Geospatial-Intelligence), ASG (Allied System for Geospatial-Intelligence), and NRO (National Reconnaissance Office) enterprises
