ValidaTek is seeking a mid-level Systems Engineer who will support the design, implementation, and maintenance of the technology infrastructure for a large IT modernization and transformational program for our DISA customer.
Translate stakeholder needs into detailed system requirements and architectural designs.
Deploy new hardware, software, and cloud-based solutions, ensuring all system components work together seamlessly.
Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
Monitor system performance and identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies, then make recommendations for improvements.
Ensure technical documentation is thorough and complete with system specifications.
Provide status updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
3-7 years of increasing responsibility as a systems engineer on complex cloud-based programs, preferably in a federal government environment. Experience with AWS is required.
Proven ability to analyze, plan, and implement end-to-end technology infrastructures.
Experience with protocols like TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
Ability to use scripting languages to automate tasks.
Knowledge of security protocols, risk management frameworks, and compliance standards.
An acute attention to detail to ensure precision and accuracy in design and implementation to avoid systems issues.
Strong written and verbal communication skills along with the proven ability to explain complex technical matters and issues to a non-technical audience.
A TS/SCI clearance.
A degree in systems engineering or computer science or related or equivalent work experience.
