About The Position

UPMC Enterprises is hiring an experienced Systems Engineer to join their Operational Support team. If you have Dynamics and SharePoint experience and are looking to join a close-knit dynamic team look no further. APPLY NOW! This role is Hybrid and required in-office work multiple days per week. Must be local to Pittsburgh, PA or must relocate within 90 days. This role will initially have ownership over Dynamics and SharePoint but is expected to evolve in line with business needs to apply similar ownership to other business critical systems. Under the direction of management and more senior members of the team, the Systems Engineer UPMCE maintains systems, participates in projects, provides end user support, contributes to team documentation, and seeks out process improvement. Responsible for participating in testing proofs of concept, evaluating new, and implementing technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, Business, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting and configuring Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM) and SharePoint in a professional setting (required).
  • Strong understanding of business process design, change management, and structured testing practices (required).
  • Comfortable working independently within a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
  • Ability to translate user needs into effective technical solutions and communicate changes clearly across a non-technical audience.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive problem-solver with strong organizational skills.
  • Clear and empathetic communicator across diverse internal stakeholder groups.
  • Comfortable balancing long-term improvement work with day-to-day support needs.
  • Passionate about maximizing value from enterprise platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI) strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with data privacy, compliance, and security considerations within enterprise environments (especially healthcare) is preferred.
  • Experience with other CRM's, venture capital, and startup funding are advantageous.
  • Current or Past UPMC Full-Time Employee and or Contractor.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, configure, and optimize Microsoft Dynamics 365 and SharePoint Online to meet business needs, including workflows, views, forms, security roles, and integrations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Operations, Investment, and Business teams to identify improvement opportunities and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Monitor data quality and value derived from Dynamics, SharePoint, and other solutions. Work collaboratively to raise and address risks with leadership and stakeholders.
  • Develop implementation roadmaps for all systems under management while keeping appraised of new capabilities that can be leveraged to the benefit of the business.
  • Design, test, and implement new features, automations, or updates using Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Power Apps) where appropriate.
  • Create and maintain internal documentation, training materials, and release communications to ensure successful adoption of changes.
  • Provide tier-2 support for Dynamics and SharePoint users, including troubleshooting (data and/or system analysis) and user education.
  • Develop reports and dashboards to support visibility into operations, CRM activities, and investment tracking initiatives.
  • Promote best practices around development lifecycle, data governance, test strategy, and change control.
  • Partner with IT or external vendors as needed to escalate or coordinate platform-level changes.
  • Successfully completes projects, tasks, and initiatives by embracing a team-first approach. Works in collaboration with team and offers feedback, where appropriate, to complete individual and group efforts.
  • Shows the ability to adjust and be flexible to change by adapting approach when necessary. Mentors less experienced staff.
  • Responsible for continuous self-study, trainings, partnering with more senior members of team, and/or seeking out opportunities to broaden scope to stay up to date with industry and organizational trends.
  • Seeks feedback from senior team members for development and effectively incorporates feedback into work and behaviors.
  • Learn, take ownership, and evolve other business critical systems as required.
  • Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
