About The Position

The Systems Engineer position at Northrop Grumman involves working within the Payload and Ground Systems Division to support the Integrated National Systems Business Unit. The role focuses on the Systems Engineering process throughout a product's lifecycle, requiring effective communication and problem-solving skills. The engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining requirements, testing, troubleshooting, and coordinating with development teams, contributing to the mission of providing innovative technologies for national defense.

Requirements

  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance at time of application
  • Must be willing to submit to a polygraph
  • Must have a completed STEM degree with relevant experience in systems engineering
  • 2 Years of relevant experience with a completed Bachelor's (STEM)
  • 0 Years of relevant experience with a completed Master's (STEM)
  • Experience with test planning and documentation
  • Knowledge of requirements derivation
  • Familiarity with the Atlassian tool suite

Nice To Haves

  • Polygraph within the last 10 years
  • Ability to debug and problem solve when things don't work out of the box
  • Experience working in a cross-functional and geo diverse Agile team
  • Experience with MBSE, Visio, Cameo, JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket
  • Experience with Satellite Ground SW system and verification

Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining requirements
  • Updating and creating verification/validation methods
  • Creating diagrams in Cameo
  • Software baseline deployment
  • Testing and troubleshooting the environment
  • Reading error logs
  • Coordinating corrections with the development team
  • Working with the Command-and-Control team to develop software
  • Creation of test plans, test procedures, and test reports
  • Writing documentation
  • Execution of integration test activities
