Acuity, Inc. seeks a Systems Engineer to design, implement, and support a secure, scalable Tableau platform for a federal client. This role is responsible for Tableau platform reliability, administration, integration, performance, and operational support across development, test, and production environments. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience supporting complex analytics or platform environments
  • Strong hands-on experience with Tableau Server and/or Tableau Cloud
  • Experience with Tableau upgrades, patching, performance tuning, and platform administration
  • Experience troubleshooting Tableau performance, extracts, schedules, and connectivity
  • Experience integrating Tableau with enterprise data sources and identity providers
  • Experience supporting controlled releases across development, test, and production
  • Strong understanding of platform security, access controls, and environment administration
  • Experience with scripting, automation, or deployment support
  • Experience with system monitoring and operational support

Nice To Haves

  • Experience integrating Tableau with AWS, PostgreSQL, Databricks, or similar data platforms
  • Experience with Tableau migration and promotion processes
  • Experience with SSO, group-based access, and role-based permissions
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools
  • Experience using Tableau APIs or scripting for administration and automation
  • Familiarity with metadata, governance, and certified data source practices
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, or similar Agile tools

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, administer, and support Tableau platform environments
  • Manage Tableau configuration, upgrades, patching, performance tuning, and platform health
  • Support integration with enterprise data sources, authentication services, and supporting infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot Tableau platform, extract, connectivity, and performance issues
  • Administer access, permissions, groups, and security controls
  • Support migration and promotion of Tableau content and platform changes across environments
  • Monitor backgrounder performance, extract schedules, and system utilization
  • Maintain backup, recovery, failover, and resiliency procedures
  • Support integration with cloud and data platforms, including databases and governed analytics environments
  • Implement automation and repeatable deployment processes
  • Maintain documentation for administration, deployment, and support procedures
  • Apply platform security, patching, and vulnerability remediation
