  • Internships, coursework, or projects in systems engineering or requirements development (Level 2)
  • Typically 2+ years of related systems engineering experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in requirements development, allocation, traceability, and design assurance processes in a complex system or aerospace program.
  • Proven ability to communicate clearly across technical teams; experience capturing and documenting decisions and agreements.

  • Experience organizing and conducting dry runs, rehearsals, or readiness reviews events for milestone engineering reviews

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the systems integration focal for an assigned aircraft system, responsible for requirements development, allocation, traceability, and design assurance (DA) activities.
  • Act as the DA Integration Specialist supporting an assigned aircraft system: act as the gatekeeper for all actionable DA activities, ensure task clarity, and coordinate with airplane system DAR focals to track status and completion.
  • Coordinate and manage the DAR calendar and workload for system-level DARs; prioritize and de-conflict airplane level DAR activities from system DAR work.
  • Prepare, review, and help produce verification artifacts and evidence required for DAR entrance criteria, and assist aircraft system teams in completing verification activities that pace program milestones.
  • Consolidate guidance, standard templates, and lessons learned for airplane system DAR focals to promote consistent application of DA processes across teams.
  • Attend relevant meetings, events, and process discussions to capture decisions, document agreements, and close knowledge gaps.
  • Ensure communications related to process changes are issued and distributed.
  • Maintain situational awareness of changes across program processes (e.g., transitions across aircraft variants such as -9 to -8F) and drive alignment of IPT practice with evolving program requirements.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer across teams (e.g., enable system teams to observe other teams’ DARs), conduct internal dry-runs and rehearsals, and organize events that prepare the airplane system team for program-level reviews.
