SAIC is seeking a Systems Engineer Team Supervisor to support The Enhanced Polar System (EPS) program in San Diego, CA. EPS provides continuous, 24-hour Extremely High Frequency (EHF) protected satellite communications (SATCOM) capability to forces operating in the (above 65 degrees North latitude). EPS consists of four segments: Gateway (includes the interface with the Defense Information Systems Network (DISN)), Mission Control, Payload (includes Host Space Vehicle (SV) and Ground Station accommodations), and Terminal. The Sponsor is the Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC)/Military Satellite Communications (MILSATCOM) Systems Wing (SMC/MCSW). The EPS-Gateway (GW) Segment includes a primary and a secondary gateway site. The segment provides connectivity between polar users and mid-latitude users via the terrestrial Global Information Grid (GIG) to gain access to DISN services. SSC-PAC shall be responsible for the development, assembly, and installation of the GW Network Equipment, GW to DISN Interface Equipment and Network Management for the EPS-GW Segment. At the YD-II level, the selectee will serve as a Systems Engineer Supervisor on the Enhanced Polar System Gateway development project.
