Learn about the Trident II D5 Fleet Ballistic Missile. As part of the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Program this Systems Engineer Sr. Staff position in Deployed Reentry Systems will serve as a Deployed Reentry Subject Matter Expert. Among the typical assignments are: problem investigations into deployed hardware, proofing new procedures and hardware, coordinating across a variety of internal & external customers, mentoring new team members, participating in Independent Review Boards (IRB) for major program reviews, planning for future flight tests, and supporting various testing and production efforts.

Requirements

  • FBM Deployed Reentry Experience
  • FBM Mk7 Program Experience
  • Understanding of how Strategic Weapons Facilities (SWF) operate, including the UR Board Process
  • Understanding of the Lockheed Martin BOE Process
  • Reentry H-Gear (Support Equipment) requirements, design, and operations
  • Ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance, therefore U.S. Citizenship is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of Eastern Range test operations
  • FBM Flight Test preparation experience
  • Post FBM test flight data analysis
  • Experience with Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) processes and requirements
  • Strong communication skills - both written and oral
