As a Qualcomm Systems Engineer, you will research, design, develop, simulate, and/or validate systems-level software, hardware, architecture, algorithms, and solutions that enables the development of cutting-edge technology. Qualcomm Systems Engineers collaborate across functional teams to meet and exceed system-level requirements and standards. We are looking for a wireless systems engineer to define and implement WLAN hardware and software algorithms to achieve the best performance in standalone mode as well as when coexisting with other wireless communication systems such as Cellular, Bluetooth, UWB, and GNSS. This person should be able to work independently to define new features and take them from concept to production, specify system architectures, lead engineering efforts across functional teams, engage directly with customers, and contribute to standards activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
  • PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.

Nice To Haves

  • PhD in Electrical Engineering
  • Familiarity with wireless standards such as IEEE 802.11, Bluetooth, LTE, and UWB
  • Knowledge about RF/ PHY/MAC design and coexistence algorithms and protocols
  • Experience in commercialization of mobile WLAN technology
