GDIT is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Engineering Manager with a strong background in managing complex IT projects involving high performance computing, software development, systems engineering, big data/data warehousing, and data center management. This on-site, full-time role is based in the Northern Virginia area.

  • Team Management : Lead a multidisciplinary team of approximately 15 engineers, handling all personnel management functions including staffing, performance management, fostering a positive work environment, and mentoring.
  • Technical Leadership : Serve as team lead and technical contributor for Configuration Management, Change Management, and Quality Assurance.
  • Scrum Master : Perform Scrum Master duties, coordinating and conducting Agile ceremonies.
  • Engineering Practices : Oversee engineering practices, including Risk Management, software development lifecycle, and team collaboration.
  • 10 + years of related experience

  • Software Development : Experience working on teams involved in all aspects of software development while also supporting an operational system.
  • Agile Methodologies : In-depth experience and understanding of Agile development methodologies, quality assurance, configuration, change management, software testing, and DevOps tools and environments.
  • Engineering Principles : Strong understanding and application of software and system engineering principles, practices, and standards.
  • Configuration Management : Experience with Configuration Management Systems such as IBM Engineering Workflow Manager (EWM/RTC).
  • BA/BS in a Technical field required

  • Cross-Functional Leadership : Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams.
