Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team in the Payload and Ground Systems Division Engineering organization supporting the Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU) to support a Ground program.

Requirements

  • Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance at the time of application.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and favorably succeed a CI polygraph.
  • Must have a completed STEM degree (a degree in the fields of science, technology, engineering, or mathematics).
  • 2 Years of relevant experience with completed Bachelor's (STEM).
  • 0 Year of experience with completed systems/software engineering Master's (STEM).
  • Experience with software systems design.
  • Experience with Model Base Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Cameo tool.
  • Experience with JIRA.
  • Experience with decomposing element requirements to subsystem.
  • Experience with acceptance criteria creation.

Nice To Haves

  • Favorably adjudicated CI polygraph.

Responsibilities

  • Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
  • Analyses are performed at all levels of total system products to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
  • Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
  • Maintaining existing operations procedures up to date also include lessons learned from real-time performance.
  • Develop new procedures as required.
  • Interface with program and customer personnel.
