About The Position
The Avionics Summer Engineering Project Program (SEPP) at RTX Corporation is an elite summer internship program established in 1995, designed to provide students with hands-on experience in engineering through business-relevant projects. Interns will engage in various tasks that support research and partnerships on campus, while also being introduced to the rigor and challenges of engineering. This summer, interns will have the opportunity to work on the development of next-generation optical technology for Augmented Reality (AR) Displays. The internship will involve characterizing new AR technology, developing algorithms for critical functions, executing human factors tests, and envisioning innovative applications of AR Displays in the aerospace sector. Interns will collaborate closely with their manager, technical mentors, and fellow interns to define project plans and achieve scoped milestones. The role will also require interns to prepare and present their project efforts to a larger audience of engineers, including participation in an internal Collins Aerospace Technology Fair.
