USSTRATCOM is a Combatant Command responsible for strategic deterrence, nuclear operations, and enterprise IT services essential to national security. It oversees Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO), Global Strike, and Missile Threat Assessments, working closely with other Combatant Commands, Services, and defense agencies. SCITLS will be a key component that will ensure mission success and the safety of the U.S. and its allies by providing 24/7 IT services and network support for NIPRNet, SIPRNet, JWICS, and SAP/SAR environments. SYSTEMS ENGINEER Applies digital mission engineering techniques that trace existing capability architectures, developed by the DoD and industry, into USSTRATCOM’s EA. Provides TDL support and designs and engineers highly complex infrastructures including installing, configuring, testing and maintaining operating systems, application software, and system management tools. Designs systems architecture for new or existing computer system. Performs complex systems development and design work that may include logic design, I/O design, model formulation, computer architecture analysis and design, and digital systems engineering. Invents innovative ways to drive production operational efficiency. Provides critical insight and guidance for the preparation and maintenance of all documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects. Implements, manages, and enhances Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline tools.
