Systems Engineer, Senior

Booz Allen HamiltonIndian Head, MD

About The Position

Serve as a systems engineer supporting U.S. Navy munition and energetic programs, providing technical leadership throughout the system development lifecycle to meet technical objectives for U.S. Navy programs. Lead or provide engineering technical direction for problem definition, analysis, development, and implementation of complex systems by applying systems engineering principles across all phases of the DoD 5000 acquisition process, including defining system requirements, interfaces, and Design Reference Missions (DRMs), refining them as needed throughout system design and development. Actively participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to innovate solutions and develop and maintain comprehensive SE plans, Systems Engineering Technical Reviews (SETRs), certification efforts, and specialty engineering tasks. Lead system-of-systems integration, including mission and capability planning, reliability and maintainability analysis, human factors considerations, and model-based systems engineering to solve complex technical challenges and workflow optimization. Collaborate with teams to make recommendations and advise on system development, improvements, optimization, and support efforts while performing risk assessments and analyses using modeling and simulation techniques. Oversee Integration & Test activities by creating test plans and reports, conducting requirements verification, analysis, and traceability, witnessing tests, and ensuring verification accounting. Produce clear, concise technical documentation tailored to both technical and non-technical stakeholders while supporting and developing essential program artifacts and managing configuration and risk throughout the program lifecycle.
