About The Position

CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. You must have a passion for keeping pace with rapidly evolving technology advancements and leveraging your knowledge on a highly collaborative team to deliver state-of-the-art capabilities. The Systems Engineer designs, integrates, and maintains complex systems, often involving both hardware and software components, to meet organizational needs. They analyze user requirements, develop system architectures, and ensure systems are functioning optimally. Their responsibilities include troubleshooting, system upgrades, and collaborating with various stakeholders. CGI Federal is growing its high-performance team whose members share a passion for building high-quality, scalable, advanced IT solutions in a collaborative, fast-paced, outcome-driven mission. This position is located in USA VA Arlington, however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.

Requirements

  • Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree and/or 5-10 years of experience
  • Security Clearance: TS/SCI with ability to obtain Poly. Active TS/SCI with Poly highly desired
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of computer hardware, software, operating systems, networks, and databases.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex systems, identify root causes of problems, and develop effective solutions.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Project Management Skills: Ability to plan, organize, and execute projects effectively.

Responsibilities

  • System Design and Integration: Developing system architectures, defining interfaces, and ensuring components work together seamlessly.
  • Requirements Management: Analyzing and documenting user needs and translating them into technical requirements.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Identifying and resolving issues within a system, often involving hardware, software, and network components.
  • System Maintenance and Upgrades: Performing regular maintenance, applying updates, and ensuring systems are secure and reliable.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Working with various teams, including developers, testers, and stakeholders, to ensure successful system implementation and operation.
  • Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Tracking system performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to improve efficiency.
  • Documentation: Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for system design, configuration, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Security Implementation: Ensuring systems are protected from unauthorized access and potential threats.
  • Project Management: Managing the implementation of systems projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
