Torch Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineer (Senior) with Test Management experience to join a team to support the development and sustainment of systems assigned to the Air Force Human Resources Systems Division (AF HRSD) headquartered at Randolph AFB (San Antonio, TX area). The person that fills this position will apply their systems engineering expertise to provide testing support for the acquisition of the Air Force Integrated Personnel and Pay System (AFIPPS). This role will require experience with setting up testing scenarios, establishing and testing interface connections, and supporting all aspects of AFIPPS testing to include, but not limited to, SOE, Unit Evaluation Training, User Testing, Functional Testing, Interface Testing, Data Management Testing, Performance Testing, Security Testing, Penetration Testing, etc. This position supports the AFLCMC/GB Business and Enterprise Systems Directorate (BES)/GBH Human Resources Systems Division. The Systems Engineer Senior requires a highly motivated individual. This individual will perform work that applies a broad theoretical and practical knowledge of Agile-based software engineering with responsibilities such as, but not limited to: Identify, describe, and apply emerging IT acquisition strategies, best practices, IT-related performance measures and quality management in support of acquisition planning, information assurance/cybersecurity, test and evaluation processes, verification and validation processes, and/or fielding and sustaining of IT/software systems. Conduct reviews on program portfolio to evaluate and/or recommend alternative plans, improve systems engineering programs/processes, manage/sustain program technical baseline, and design/perform system level tests to assure that subsystems and system performance is achieved in accordance with approved specifications. Perform program reviews to evaluate alternative proposed plans, systems engineering programs, design and test results to assure that subsystem and system performance is achieved in accordance with program specifications. Prepare technical documentation which defines, specifies, and recommends system/subsystem characteristics. Prepare management reports and conducts technical presentations for planning, implementation and corrective action using application of engineering principles. Perform validation of software systems including development of analyses/evaluation criteria and procedures, analyses/evaluation of results, and related recommendations. Provide Agile and Digital system/program engineering, technical support and technical training to support programs/initiatives including, but not limited to, acquisition, development, integration, sustainment, continued evolution, deployment/fielding and installation, and operations oversight. Provide engineering support services and inputs to program and project risk management activities in compliance with AF Systems Engineering Assessment Model (SEAM) processes; and, Perform all (system) engineering according to applicable DOD, AF, AFMC directives, instructions, and manuals, to include, but not be limited to, AFI 63-101, AFMAN 63-144, AFMCI 63-1202, AFMAN 63-128, AFI 99-103 and their updates, successors (as happens over time).
